Indian Premier League – Free hit or golden duck?

Indian Premier League is kicking off tomorrow hoping to be a summer retreat. The amount of money invested, debates about player auctions, sponsors, star players has created the buzz for the tournament and it is all set now for the big moment. But will this sensation hold for the next 44 days??? Keeping my fingers crossed.

IPL is definitely not doing much good for the Indian cricket. It has proven to be a great business opportunity potentially untapped for many years. Inspite of these negative feelings, I cannot really resist this buzz. Unfortunately, I missed the 20-20 WC held in Sep 2008 and couldn’t watch even a single match😦. I am looking forward for IPL to make up for that and waiting eagerly for the matches to begin tomo evening.

I’m backing Chennai Super Kings and half-heartedly Bangalore Royal Challengers too. In imsai arasan’s style,’hmmm kelapungal’.
